Quién lo hubiera dicho? Pete Doherty sí es uno de los últimos románticos del rock como dice Dan. El tema de hoy es una muy buena canción de amor, su letra nos habla de un fuerte lazo de amor y de cómo este se desvanece, perdiendo así toda la magia y sueños que traía aparejado. La sensación de que podes volar, hacer de todo con el otro, va desapareciendo dejando una fuerte sensación de nostalgia porque nos habla de lo que pudo haber sido pero finalmente no fue.
The Libertines es una banda inglesa de rock, caracterizada por un estilo que fluye entre el punk y lo más melódico del britpop. El grupo llegó al máximo de su fama al principio de la década de los 2000, encabezando el movimiento revival del garage rock de ese tiempo. La banda se centraba en el dúo conformado por Pete Doherty (voz/guitarra rítmica) y Carl Barât (voz/guitarra principal), respaldados por John Hassall (bajo) y Gary Powell (batería).

El éxito musical de la banda –fueron comparados con Radiohead y The Strokes- se vio eclipsado por sus permanentes conflictos internos, muchos de los cuales fueron causados por el uso continuado de drogas –crack y heroína- por Doherty, su conflictiva relación con la modelo Kate Moss y sus constantes problemas con la policía, causando esto la disolución de la banda para 2005.
